Recipe Ingredients for Bannock

4 cups White Flour
1 tbls White Sugar
2 tbls Baking Powder
1 pinch of Salt
1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
2 cups Water

Recipe Directions for Bannock

  1. Combine dry ingredients.

  2. Mix oil and water. Add water to dry ingredients in three turns from bottom of bowl. " lift" the flour through the water. Dough should be a bit wetter than bread dough. Turn dough onto a lightly floured cutting board or counter. Flatten with hands until about 1" high - cut into desired peices (10).

  3. Place on baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes at 350F
