Recipe Ingredients for banana walnut pancakes

1 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup ground flax seed
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons coconut oil (or canola or grapeseed)
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup skim milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 bananas (1/2 sliced in and 1/2 mashed in the batter)
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 cup walnuts

Recipe Directions for banana walnut pancakes

Combine all dry ingredients in a medium size bowl. In small bowl, combine liquid ingredients and add to the dry, mix well. Heat griddle or large skillet to medium heat. Using 1/4 cup batter for each pancake, cook on one side until bubbly, then flip and cook until done. Top with toasted walnuts and add them in before fully done or top with the nuts (*i like to put the nuts in the pancakes!)
