frozen dessert 4 cups vanilla ice cream is equivalent calories to 6 cups of fat free vanilla frozen yogurt. Couldn't get the recipe to acknowledge any calorie count for frozen yogurt so I used the ice cream. Allowance is 1/4 cup of strawberries per serving...added as a topping. Fat Free whip cream can also be added with 5 calories per 2 Tbsp.

Recipe Ingredients for Banana Split Dessert

2 c. graham cracker crumbs
3 tbsp. butter, melted
3 tbsp. sugar
3 c. banana
3 c. strawberries
4 c. vanilla ice cream

Recipe Directions for Banana Split Dessert

  1. Mix together graham cracker crumbs, 1/3 cup melted butter and sugar to make crust. Cover bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan with crust (not too thick). Slice 2-3 bananas over crust. Slice ice cream into 1/2 inch slices and put over bananas. Pour walnuts over ice cream. Freeze until firm.

  2. Serve topped with strawberries. Garnish with chocolate chips, or cherries and whip cream!
