A fruity twist on a classic breakfast

Recipe Ingredients for Banana oatmeal

3/4 cup nonfat milk
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup oatmeal
1 pinch salt
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon, ground
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 medium banana

Recipe Directions for Banana oatmeal

  1. Place milk and water in medium saucepan with a pinch of salt and bring to a slight boil.

  2. Add dry oats to the saucepan and stir until oatmeal is slightly less thick than you like

  3. Add cinnamon, brown sugar, and vanilla to the oatmeal and stir until well blended and preferred thickness is obtained

  4. slice banana into oatmeal and stir in. Remove from heat and cover for a minute or two. Serve and enjoy.
