Recipe Ingredients for Banana Oatmeal Cake

4 medium bananas
3/4 cup Sugar
2/3 cup Oil
2/3 cup Buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 1/3 cup All purpose flour
1 cup oats
2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp cloves
2/3 cup raisins
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Recipe Directions for Banana Oatmeal Cake

  1. Heat oven to 350

  2. Grease 9X13 pan

  3. Beat bananas, sugar, oil, buttermilk, vanilla and egg

  4. Seperately: flour, oats, baking soda, cinnamon, baking powder, cloves - mix together

  5. Add to the banana mixture

  6. Add raisins and nuts if you want (2/3 cups of whatever)

  7. Spread and bake for 35 minutes

  8. Optional glaze: mix powdered sugar with vanilla and enough water to mix to glaze consistently and pour over the hot cake after done baking. Cool and store in the fridge! Yummy!
