1/2 cup butter, 1/2 unsweetened applesauce, 1 cup white sugar, 2 eggs, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1 cup o

Recipe Directions for Banana Oatmeal Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease one 9x5 inch loaf pan and set aside.

  2. Cream together the butter, applesauce and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla, beat until fluffy.

  3. Sift together the flour, oatmeal, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Add dry ingredients alternately with bananas and milk. Mix until blended.

  4. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes; remove from oven and cover for 5 minutes.
