Very healthy breakfast bread, packed with good stuff like bananas, oatmeal, raisins, whole wheat flour and almonds. No added fat, I use applesauce instead of butter.

Recipe Ingredients for Banana Oatmeal Applesauce Bread

4 banana
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup brown sugar, loosely packed
1 cup applesauce
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 pinch salt
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chocolate chips
100 grams almonds, slivered

Recipe Directions for Banana Oatmeal Applesauce Bread

  1. preheat oven to 350 (or 180 Celsius)

  2. mash bananas and combine with oatmeal, flour, brown sugar, applesauce, eggs, vanilla, baking powder and salt, mix well then add the rest of the ingredients and mix again.

  3. lightly coat a baking pan with oil or butter, pour batter into pan and bake for an hour and check to with a toothpick to see if its done, if not bake for another 10 minutes.
