Nice banana bread recipe with a healthy amount of whole grains.

Recipe Ingredients for Banana oat bread

1 cup brown sugar, packed
7 tbs. vegetable oil
2 egg whites
1 egg
1 1/3 cup banana, mashed
1 cup oats
1/2 cup skim milk
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 tbs baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Recipe Directions for Banana oat bread

  1. Blend first four ingredients.

  2. Combine banana, oats and skim milk.

  3. Add to the sugar mixture and blend.

  4. Combine dry ingredients.

  5. Add dry ingredients to wet and blend just until combined.

  6. Spray loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.

  7. Add batter to loaf pan.

  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes clean.
