Recipe Ingredients for Banana Oat Bread

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
3 large eggs
2 bananas
1 cup oats
1/2 cup 1% milk
2 cup whole wheat flour
1 tbs. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup walnuts

Recipe Directions for Banana Oat Bread

  1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl, beat well at medium speed.

  2. Combine ripe bananas, oats, milk.

  3. Add to sugar mixture.

  4. Beat well.

  5. Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cup, level with knife.

  6. Combine flour, powder, soda, salt, cinnamon, stir with wisk.

  7. Add to sugar mixture, beat until moist.

  8. Spoon into 2 9x5 loaf pans, coated with cooking spray.

  9. Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes at 350 degrees or until toothpick comes out clean.

  10. Cool 10 minutes in pans, finish cooling on wire rack.

  11. Nutrition info is for 1/16 of one loaf.
