Delicious Ice Cream alternative. Helps me keep away the cravings for soft serve and creamy slow churned ice cream.

Recipe Ingredients for Banana-Nutella Ice Cream

5 medium (7" to 7-7/8" long) Bananas
0.25 cup Soy Milk, Fluid
1.5 tbsp Spread

Recipe Directions for Banana-Nutella Ice Cream

  1. Ingredients:

  2. 4-6 Bananas (overly ripe is fine, even preferred)

  3. 1/4 cup milk (*use soy milk to make it vegan)

  4. 1.5 tbsp flavoring (optional)

  5. I used: Nutella

  6. you can also use:

  7. vanilla

  8. chocolate syrup

  9. fruit juice concentrate

  10. whatever you want

  11. also need: flat freezer friendly container, wax paper, food processor

  12. Instructions:

  13. Prep a flat container for freezing.

  14. Peel Bananas and cut into half-inch or quarter-inch 'coins,' laying flat in the container. Use wax paper to separate layers if you make more than this recipe, or you have a small container.

  15. Freeze for 2 hours (or more if you want).

  16. Take out bananas and put coins into a food processor.

  17. Blend in short bursts, using a spatula to pull down the sides and slowly adding in the milk until it forms a creamy consistency.

  18. Once it reaches the consistency of soft serve, add flavoring and blend quickly. You can also fold in many flavors by hand for a more 'marbled' effect.

  19. EAT!

  20. OR....spoon/pour into your freezing container and re-freeze. This added step will change the consistency so it is more like regular ice cream than soft serve.
