Recipe Ingredients for banana nut muffins

1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
3 tbsp firmly packed brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp cloves
2 medium bananas, mashed
1/2 cup milk
3 tbsp oleo
1 large egg
1/4 cup walnuts

Recipe Directions for banana nut muffins

  1. Preheat oven to 400F. Spray twelve nonstick muffin cups with non-stick cooking spray or line with paper liners. Set aside.

  2. in large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and spices.

  3. In small bowl, combine all ingredients except walnuts.

  4. Make well in centre of flour mixture. Pour in wet into dry ingredients and mix well.

  5. Spoon batter evenly into muffin cups, filling each about two thirds full. Bake 20 to 25 minutes until lightly browned and toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool on rack.
