A healthier version of a classic recipe

Recipe Ingredients for Banana Nut Bread

3 medium bananas
1 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup wheat germ
1/4 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup splenda
3 oz apple sauce
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup egg substitute
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup walnuts

Recipe Directions for Banana Nut Bread

  1. 1.Mash ripened bananas in a bowl.

  2. 2.Add the rest of ingredients and mix just until moistened.

  3. 3.Pour into large loaf pan sprayed with cooking spray like Pam.

  4. 4.Bake at 350 F (175 C) for 1 hour and 5 minutes, or until wooden skewer comes out clean.
