Banana Bread with Nuts - a great way to use up those old bananas you always have laying around.

Recipe Ingredients for Banana Nut Bread

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine
2 eggs
225 g bananas, mashed
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Recipe Directions for Banana Nut Bread

  1. Heat oven to 350 F.

  2. Grease bottom only of 9x5 loaf pan.

  3. In a large bowl, cream sugar and margarine until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs. Blend in bananas, milk and vanilla.

  4. In small bowl, combine flour, nuts, baking soda and salt. Mix well. Add to creamed mixture, and mix just until dry ingredients are moistened.

  5. Pour into the prepared pan.

  6. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

  7. Cool in pan for 5 minutes, then remove and cool completely on wire rack.
