Recipe Ingredients for Banana Muffins

1 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups mashed bananas
2 1/2 cups flour
3 1/2 tsps baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk

Recipe Directions for Banana Muffins

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place muffin papers in two 12-dent muffin pans.

  2. Cream together the shortening and sugars. Add bananas, beat until combined. Add eggs, beat until combined

  3. Add flour, salt, baking powder, and milk. Beat until combined.

  4. Divide batter between muffin cups and bake 18 - 20 minutes, or until golden brown and testing done in the center.
