My banana and chocolate chip muffins

Recipe Ingredients for Banana Muffins

4 bananas, mashed
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup plain low fat yogurt
1/2 cup chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Banana Muffins

Cream shortening and sugar in large bowl. Add eggs, mix. Add bananas, vanilla and salt, mix. Add dry ingredients and yogurt and mix well. Optionally you can then fold in chocolate chips. Bake for 10-12 minutes in mini muffin tins.
