Recipe Ingredients for banana cupcakes with chocolate frosting

1 cup flour, sifted
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 tsp cinnamon
4 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 large egg
1 cups bananas, mashed
1/4 cup buttermilk
0.16 tsp vanilla extract
1/5 cup walnuts
1 cups powdered sugar
2 tbsp butter
1 1/2 tbsp cocoa
1 1/2 tbsp 1% milk, hot

Recipe Directions for banana cupcakes with chocolate frosting

  1. preheat oven to 350.

  2. line muffin tins.

  3. whisk dry ingredients in large bowl.

  4. cream butter and sugar with mixer until light and fluffy. add egg and beat in.

  5. reduce speed to low.

  6. mix banana, buttermilk and vanilla in a bowl and add to wet mixture.

  7. add dry ingredients to wet in 3 additions, alternating wet and dry (ending with dry)

  8. fill cups 2/3 way

  9. bake about 20 minutes
