Recipe Ingredients for Banana Chocolate Chip Quick Bread

1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 large egg
1 large egg white
1 cup bananas (2 medium bananas pureed)
1/2 cup low-fat sour cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Banana Chocolate Chip Quick Bread

  1. To make the bread, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon into a large bowl. Stir in the granulated sugar.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the butter, egg, egg white, banana puree, sour cream and vanilla.

  4. Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and stir in the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

  5. Spread the batter into a greased loaf pan.

  6. Remove from oven and allow to cool for at least 20 minutes. Loosen the edges of the bread from the pan and invert on a serving platter.
