Recipe Ingredients for Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 T. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1 T. lemon juice
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 T. canola oil
1 mashed banana
1/3 cup chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes

  1. Mix flour, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a medium mixing bowl. Set aside.

  2. In another mixing bowl, mix the milk w/ lemon juice, egg, vanilla, and oil; mix well. Stir in the mashed banana.

  3. Add the wet mixture to the flour mixture and stir until blended.

  4. Stir in the chocolate chips.

  5. Spray a lg. frypan or griddle with cooking spray and heat over med-high heat. Spoon batter onto hot pan . Turn with spatula when edges look dry and underside is lightly browned. Cook on other side, then turn out onto a plate.
