Yum! I have substituted 1/2 cup whole wheat flour for 1/2 cup of the white flour. Tastes the same, but a little bit healthier.

Recipe Ingredients for Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups mashed banana
1/2 cup light sour cream
1 cup chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease twelve muffin cups. (I use Pam spray.)

  2. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside.

  3. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy . Add vanilla and eggs and mix everything well.

  4. Mix in the bananas and sour cream.

  5. Fold in flour mixture.

  6. Fold in chocolate chips.

  7. Spoon into muffin cups. I use the oversized muffin cups and they come out great.

  8. Bake for 20 mins. or until done. (18 mins. is usually about right for my oven.)
