Recipe Ingredients for Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins w/ Applesauce

3/8 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/8 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup banana, mashed
1/4 cup Sour Cream, Reduced Fat, Cultured
2 eggs
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
5 tbsp Chocolate chips, semi sweet

Recipe Directions for Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins w/ Applesauce

  1. Mix dry ingredients, set aside.

  2. Cream butter, sugar, applesauce. Mix in vanilla extract, mashed bananas, eggs and sour cream.

  3. Sift dry ingredients, add into batter.

  4. Pour batter into muffin tray, sprinkle chocolate chip morsels and oatmeal (optional).

  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 22-25 minutes.
