These are very moist muffins. Its a pretty good recipe for a healthy muffin.

Recipe Ingredients for Banana Chocolate chip muffine

1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1/2 cup applesauce
1/2 cup fat free yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 bananas
3/4 cup chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Banana Chocolate chip muffine

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line or lightly spray muffin tins, including top, with cooking spray.

  2. In a medium mixing bowl, sift together the flours, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, butter, sour cream, and vanilla. Add this egg mixture to the flour mixture. Using as few strokes as possible, mix until everything is moistened (lumps are okay). Fold in bananas, walnuts, and chocolate chips. Spoon banana chocolate chip batter into muffin cups, each 2/3 full.

  4. Bake 20 - 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before removing muffins from pan to wire racks.
