Banana cake, I used yogurt instead of 1/2 cup buttermilk.

Recipe Ingredients for Banana Cake

2 cups flour,1 1/2 cups sugar,1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder,3/4 teaspoon baking soda,1 cup mashed banana,1/2 cup non fat yogurt,1/2 cup

Recipe Directions for Banana Cake

  1. In a bowl combine flour,sugar,baking powder,baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.

  2. Add banana,yogurt,shortening,eggs and vanilla.

  3. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed till combined.

  4. Beat in medium speed for 3 mintues.

  5. Pour batter into pan, 9 x 13, bake in a 350 degree or till a toothpick comes out clean.
