Recipe Ingredients for Banana cake

1/3 pound pecans
1 cup sugar
1 stick unsalted butter
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup banana
1 3/4 cups baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 pound brown sugar
1/2 cup pecans
3/4 cup butter

Recipe Directions for Banana cake

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter the cake pan, Toast the nuts and let them cool. In a food procesor grind the nuts with sugar. Cream the butter, add sugar, add eggs, add sour cream, and vanilla, mix the banana puree, stir the flour, baking powder, salt

  2. To bake cover the bottom of the cake with the pecan sheamer, fan some slices babana over it and spoon the batter bake 35-45 minutes.

  3. Sheamer: three last ingredients, mel the butter, remove from heat and wisk the brown sugar and nuts
