My mom's awesomacious banana bread.

Recipe Ingredients for Banana Bread

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter (at room temperature)
2 eggs
3 bananas (ripe to over-ripe)
2 cups flour
1 t baking soda
1/2 t salt

Recipe Directions for Banana Bread

  1. Cream together 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup butter.

  2. Add 2 eggs; mix until well blended.

  3. Add 3 mashed bananas; mix until well blended.

  4. Add 2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt; mix until batter is uniform.

  5. Pour into greased pan (I spray mine with cooking spray and dust it with flour, and this works pretty well).

  6. Bake at 350 for one hour, then give it the old toothpick test.

  7. Cool for 20 minutes, then remove and cool on wire rack.

  8. If you don't have a wire rack (I don't), just put it on a plate and try not to lose sleep over it.

  9. Slice and enjoy! Makes 10-12 slices.
