Wonderful whole wheat banana bread

Recipe Ingredients for Banana Bread

3 bananas
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda

Recipe Directions for Banana Bread

  1. Mash bananas

  2. Cream margarine and sugar together and add the bananas, stirring well

  3. In separate bowl stir together the dry ingredients. Add to the banana mix and stir in dates and nuts if desired(optional, not figured in calorie count)

  4. The dough will be very stiff. Turn it into greased loaf pan and bake for 30 to 45 minutes at 375 degrees

  5. Makes 1 loaf
