Debbie Eutsey's recipe from church cookbook, pg. 155. Can use sour milk, buttermilk, or plain/vanilla yogurt for sour cream

Recipe Ingredients for Banana Bread

1/2 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. wheat flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. banana, mashed
1/4 c. light sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Recipe Directions for Banana Bread

  1. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs. Beat until fluffy.

  2. In a separate bowl mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add flour mixture to the butter mixture and beat for 2 minutes.

  3. Add bananas, sour cream, and vanilla; beat until blended. Pour into two greased loaf pans or 4 small loaf pans.

  4. Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes. (may take longer)
