recipe from Marian Getz homestyle bread making cookbook writted for the wolfgang puck bread machine. I use 1/2 cup of the splenda sugar mix - otherwise you will need 1 cup of sugar. I add the cinnamon because I like it - but you can omit it.

Recipe Ingredients for banana bread

4 large bananas, sliced
2 large eggs
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
3 tbsp sour cream
2 cups unbleached all purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Recipe Directions for banana bread

  1. Place all ingredients in the order listed into the bread maker; close lid.

  2. press MEUE and select CAKE

  3. Press COLOR and select DARK

  4. Press START

  5. After 5 minutes, pause and scrape sides with spatula.

  6. Close lide and hold PAUSE to resume mixing.

  7. Machine time is 1 hour and 50 minutes.
