Made from oatmeal that is ground up as flour. You can do this in a coffee grinder.

Recipe Ingredients for Banana Bread

1/2 cup wheat flour
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup splenda sweetner
1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 egg whites
1 cup banana, mashed
1/4 cup applesauce
1/4 c water
1/2 c walnuts, finely chopped

Recipe Directions for Banana Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x4 inch loaf pan or muffin pan.

  2. Grind oatmeal in a coffee bean grinder.

  3. In a large bowl, stir together flour, ground up oatmeal, splenda, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon. Add egg whites, vanilla, bananas applesauce, water, and walnuts; stir just until combined. Pour batter into prepared pan or muffin cups.

  4. Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 55 minutes (or 15 to 20 for muffins), until a toothpick inserted into center of loaf comes out clean. Turn out onto wire rack and allow to cool before slicing
