Old Fashioned banana bread from the Settlement Cookbook

Recipe Ingredients for Banana Bread

2 bananas
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves

Recipe Directions for Banana Bread

  1. Cream butter and sugar.

  2. Add eggs, one at a time. In a separate bowl mix bananas and milk, blend well. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Alternate adding banana mixture and flour mixture into the butter/sugar/egg mixture. Blend. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
