Banana Bread Recipe

Recipe Ingredients for Banana Bread

1 1/3 cup flour
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
5 1/3 tbs unsalted butter
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup egg beaters
1 cup banana, mashed

Recipe Directions for Banana Bread

  1. Wisk dry ingredients.

  2. Beat butter and sugar on high until lightened in color and texture (2-3 min)

  3. Beat in flour mixture until the consistency of brown sugar.

  4. Gradually beat in eggs.

  5. Fold in banana until just combined. (optional-fold in 1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts-nutiritional info not included)

  6. Scrape into greased 6 cup loaf pan and bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  7. Let cool 5-10 min before unmolding to cool completely on rack.

  8. To make as muffins, bake for 20-25 min. at 350 degrees. 1 standard sized muffin (1/12 of the recipe) is 159 cals.
