Better Homes & Gardens recipe, except substituting raw unprocessed honey for the sugar.

Recipe Ingredients for Banana Bread

3 cups all purpose flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 large eggs
2 cups banana, mashed
1 1/8 cup honey, raw unprocessed
1/4 cup canola oil
1 cup chopped walnuts

Recipe Directions for Banana Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350.

  2. Line two loaf pans with parchment paper (mine are 4.5 x 9.5 x 5" tall bread pans).

  3. In a medium mixing bowl combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Make a well in the center of the dry mixture; set aside.

  4. In another bowl combine the egg, bananas, honey, and oil.

  5. Add egg mixture all at once to dry mixture. Mix until incorporated and fold in nuts.

  6. Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake 50-55 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and finish cooling on rack. Wrap and store overnight or several hours before slicing.
