This is analyzed without nuts - you can add 1/2 cup walnuts if desired

Recipe Ingredients for Banana Bread

1 3/4 cup flour
2 tsp Baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup shortening
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup banana, mashed

Recipe Directions for Banana Bread

  1. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together - set aside

  2. cream shortening and sugar

  3. add eggs - beat until fluffy

  4. alternate adding bananas and flour mixture until well blended - do not over beat

  5. put in lightly greased or sprayed bread loaf pan

  6. bake at 350 deg for approx. 60 min or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
