Makes 3 loaves... each loaf cut into 15 slices.

Recipe Ingredients for banana bread

6 mashed bananas
3 cups sugar
4 eggs
1/2 cup oil
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 cup buttermilk
6 cups self-rising flour

Recipe Directions for banana bread

  1. Preheat oven to 325

  2. Mash the bananas then add

  3. sugar, eggs, oil, and vanilla

  4. Mix in half of the flour then the buttermilk

  5. Add the remaining flour.

  6. pour into greased and floured bread pans

  7. bake about 1 hour or until the loaves are a golden brown.

  9. You can top the loaves with a mixture of powdered sugar and milk to make a smooth glaze. Put the glaze on when its hot. But the glaze is not figured into the the nutrition information. You have to add that seperatly.
