Recipe Ingredients for Banana Bread

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup wholegrain wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
1/2 tsp ginger powder (optional)
1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup white sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
3 bananas
1 tsp vanilla
1/3 cup lowfat yogurt
2 eggs
1/2 cup walnuts (optional)

Recipe Directions for Banana Bread

  1. Whisk dry ingredients.

  2. In another bowl, beat butter & sugar, add eggs, bananas, vanilla, and yogurt, beating after each addition.

  3. Fold in dry ingredients (and walnuts).

  4. Bake in loaf pan about 1 hour at 350F/175C.
