Just regular ol' banana bread. Chopped nuts are optional, of course.

Recipe Ingredients for Banana Bread

1 3/4 cup flour
2/3 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup banana
1/3 cup butter
2 tbsp milk
2 eggs

Recipe Directions for Banana Bread

  1. In a large bowl, mix 1 cup of flour, with the sugar, baking powder, milk baking soda, and salt.

  2. Add the mashed banana and butter. Beat with a mixer on low until blended, then on high for 2 minutes.

  3. Add eggs and remaining flour until blended. If desired, stir in nuts.

  4. Pour batter into a greased 8 x 4 x 2 loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  5. Cool 10 minutes on a wire rack. Remove from pan, cool thoroughly, wrap, and store overnight before slicing.
