Cady's homemade, healthier banana bread

Recipe Ingredients for Banana Bread

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup apple sauce
2 tablespoons butter, softened
2 eggs
4 medium bananas, mashed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup light vanilla soymilk
2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
3 tablespoons wheat germ
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips

Recipe Directions for Banana Bread

  1. Mix sugar, butter and apple sauce together.

  2. Add eggs and blend well.

  3. Then add mashed bananas, soymilk and vanilla extract.

  4. Add remaining ingredients except chocolate chips.

  5. Once ingredients are blended fold in chocolate chips.

  6. Pour into bread pan and cook on 350 for 45-60 min.
