Recipe Ingredients for Banana and Apple Bread

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup Splenda
1/2 cup applesauce
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup Egg Beaters
1 cup banana, mashed
1/2 cup apple butter

Recipe Directions for Banana and Apple Bread

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

  3. In a large bowl, whisk together Splenda, applesauce, oil and vanilla extract. Whisk in Egg Beaters until combined. Stir in mashed, ripe bananas and apple butter.

  4. Gradually stir in flour mixture until just combined. Evenly pour batter into prepared loaf pan.

  5. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out almost clean, 50 to 60 minutes. Cool bread in pan for 5 minutes. Run a knife around edges of bread to loosen from pan. Invert and place top up on a rack and let stand until cooled completely.
