Light and Fluffy, Great with Stew

Recipe Ingredients for Baking Powder Biscuits

3 cups whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons sugar
5 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cold margarine
1 egg, beaten
1 cup skim milk

Recipe Directions for Baking Powder Biscuits

Mix dry ingredients in bowl. Work in margarine until crumbly. Add egg and milk. Mix lightly. Batter should be sticky. If not, add a bit of milk until it is. Make 10 biscuits on cookie sheet. Bake 450- 10-12 minutes.
