Homemade biscuits - Serving size 1 biscuit

Recipe Ingredients for Baking Powder Biscuits

1 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 cup vegetable shortening
1/4 cup milk

Recipe Directions for Baking Powder Biscuits

  1. Combine Flour, Salt and Baking Powder in mixing bowl.

  2. Cut in Shortening

  3. Add milk and mix to make dough

  4. Knead until the dough is not sticky.

  5. Pat out to about 3/4" thick and cut with biscuit cutter

  6. Bake for 12 - 15 minutes at 375 degrees
