Not low fat; servings based on 2 inch diameter biscuits

Recipe Ingredients for Baking Powder Biscuits

2 cups all purpose flour
3 tablespoons baking powder
2 tablespoons buttermilk powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening (if butter flavor, omit most salt)
1 cup fat free milk

Recipe Directions for Baking Powder Biscuits

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wisk dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening, until pea-sized. Stir in milk. Turn dough out on floured surface and knead 30-60 seconds. roll out to 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick. Using a 1 1/2 or 2-inch cutter, cut 8 biscuits. Bake until lightly golden in color, approximately 10-12 minutes. Remove from heat and brush lightly with melted margarine. Serving 1 biscuit.
