Recipe Ingredients for Baking Powder Biscuits

1/3 cup butter
1 3/4 cup flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup non-fat milk

Recipe Directions for Baking Powder Biscuits

  1. Preheat oven to 450

  2. Cut butter into flour, baking powder, and salt until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Stir in just enough milk so dough leaves side of bowl.

  3. Turn dough onto slightly floured surface.

  4. Knead 10 times.

  5. Roll 1/2 inch thick.

  6. Cut with floured 2-inch biscuit cutter.

  7. Place on ungreased cookie sheet about 1-inch apart.

  8. Bake about 10 min.
