This is a half recipe with the shortening substituted with olive oil and butter. These make drop biscuits

Recipe Ingredients for Baking Powder Biscuits

1 1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 dash of sea salt
1/8 cup of butter
1/8 cup of olive oil
1/2 cup whole milk

Recipe Directions for Baking Powder Biscuits

Mix the flour, baking powder and salt. Cut the flour mixture with the butter/oil until it's crumbly. The oil may prevent this stage. Stir in the milk. Spoon on to a baking sheet or glass pie plate by the tablespoonful. Bake about 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees. I personally found them bland, my son loved them.
