Recipe Ingredients for Baker - Sausage and Roasted Pepper Pasta

13 oz Whole wheat pasta (penne)
2 cups broccoli florets
2 tbsp olive oil
14 oz sausage (sweet or hot links)
1 cup roasted red peppers (chopped)
3 tbsp parsley (chopped)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

Recipe Directions for Baker - Sausage and Roasted Pepper Pasta

  1. Cook pasta according to directions.Add broccoli during the last 3 minutes of cooking. Drain reserving 1 cup of water to put back in. Add pasta to pot and add the reserved water.

  2. In a medium skillet, add 1 tsp olive oil and warm over medium-high heat. Add sliced sausage and cook for about 5-7 minutes.

  3. Add sausage, roasted peppers, remaining olive oil, parsley, salt and red pepper flakes to the pasta. Toss to combine well.
