Biggest Loser Cookbook Baked Ziti (modified)

Recipe Ingredients for Baked Ziti

14 1/2 ounce Penne Pasta
15 ounce Fat Free Ricotta Cheese
2 large egg whites
8 ounces reduced fat mozzarella cheese
1/4 tsp garlic powder
24 ounce meat flavored traditional pasta sauce
16 ounces ground turkey breast

Recipe Directions for Baked Ziti

  1. Oven to 450 Spray glass baking dish with olive oil

  2. cook pasta according to package

  3. mix ricotta egg whites and all but 1c of mozzarella. Add garlic powder and season to taste. stir in pasta.

  4. spread sauce on bottom of prepared dish. add half of pasta. add cup of sauce. add remaining pasta. spread remaining sauce and sprinkle with remaining cheese.

  5. cover with aluminum and bake 20 min. remove foil and bake 10 more min. let stand 5 minutes. cut into 8 pieces.
