Recipe Ingredients for Baked Ziti

1/2 lb ground beef, extra lean
1/4 c. onions, chopped
1 tbs garlic, minced
15 oz tomato sauce
14 oz tomatoes, roasted
2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
8 oz pasta, penne
3/4 c reduced fat mozzarella cheese

Recipe Directions for Baked Ziti

  1. Heat Oven 375

  2. Spray a quart rectangular glass baking dish with non stick cooking spray

  3. cook beef, onion and garlic over medium heat

  4. drain beef

  5. return to pan and add tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, salt and pepper

  6. heat to boiling

  7. toss with cooked pasta

  8. spread in dish

  9. cover with foil and bake 30 min

  10. uncover and sprinkle with cheese

  11. bake uncovered 10 minutes
