Baked tuna patties, we added two 6 oz cans of tuna instead on 9 1/4 oz of tuna, and substituted saltine crackers in the place of crushed cheese crackers.

Recipe Ingredients for Baked Tuna Patties

1/4 c chopped celery, fine
3 tbls butter
3 tbls flour
1/4 tsp paprika
3/4 c milk
2 cans tuna
4 slices bread
1 egg
2/3 c saltine crackers

Recipe Directions for Baked Tuna Patties

  1. Chop celery finely, melt butter in a sauce pan and cook celery until tender.

  2. Stir in flour, paprika and salt

  3. Simmer and let sauce thicken

  4. Add tuna, bread crumbs and mix well

  5. Form into 2 1/2" patties

  6. Dip in beaten egg, roll in cracker crumbs and bake in a 350 oven for 20 to 25 min or until golden.
