Baked Tofu Recipe

Makes 4 servings



Yum! Measurements can be fiddled with to taste, but don't add too much syrup. This 'sauce" also tastes really good on avocados! You can absolutely use low sodium soy sauce and the better the maple syrup, the better it is for you! This makes four servings but if I'm having it as a meal with no side, we usually have 2 servings each.

Recipe Ingredients for Baked tofu

16 oz extra firm tofu, drained well and cubed
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp ketchup
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp ground black pepper

Recipe Directions for Baked tofu

  1. Make sure the tofu is well drained and pat dry. Cube it.

  2. Combine the soy sauce, maple syrup, ketchup, garlic powder and pepper in a bowl.

  3. Marinate to tofu for at least 15 minutes. You may need to make more of the marinade to thoroughly cover all the tofu.

  4. Bake for 20 minutes at 375 degrees. Flip the tofu blocks half way through cooking. It's done when the edges are slightly crisp.
