Baked pieces of tofu with onion, garlic and green peppers, spiced

Recipe Ingredients for Baked Tofu

1 pkg of Tofu, extra firm
1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
1/4 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, diced
1/2 green pepper, diced
1/2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1/2 tbsp Cumin
1/2 tbsp Paprika
1/4 tbsp ground black pepper

Recipe Directions for Baked Tofu

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly coat a non-stick baking sheet or casserole with oil

  2. Gently press excess water out of tofu. Cut sliced tofu into 1/2-inch cubes, triangles or icosahedrals.

  3. In a bowl, stir together the soy sauce and olive oil. Stir in cumin, paprika, and black pepper. Gently stir tofu cubes into sauce. Cover, and marinate at least 5 minutes.

  4. Place onions, peppers and garlic on baking dish or casserole and lightly drizzle with olive oil and spices.

  5. Place the tofu, on the baking sheet in a single layer. Bake in a preheated oven for 20 minutes. Turn tofu, and bake until the tofu turns golden brown, about 20 minutes more.
