A yummy way to prepare tofu. Serve with rice and a vegetable or salad.

Recipe Ingredients for Baked Tofu

1/4 package Extra Firm
0.25 cup Soy Sauce
0.25 cup Vegetable Oil, Canola
1 tsp Ginger Root
1 tbsp Sesame Seeds
2 tbsp Peanut Butter, Smooth Style
2 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp White Wine Vinegar, Organic
0.33 tbsp Chili Sauce

Recipe Directions for Baked Tofu

  1. Cut the tofu into 1-cm cubes and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. In a bowl, combine the marinade ingredients. Add the tofu. Stir to coat the tofu. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to marinate.

  3. Heat the oven to 450F (230C). Pour the tofu and marinade into a baking pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Using mitts, remove the pan from the oven and turn the tofu with a spatula. Bake for another 5 minutes.

  4. While baking the tofu,combine the sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Remove the tofu from the oven. Pour the sauce over the tofu. Turn the tofu so the sauce coats all sides. Return the tofu to the oven and bake 10 more minutes or until well browned.

  5. Let the tofu cool slightly before serving.
