This is the recipie that my granny, Cora, gave my mother when I was a kid because I would ask for it every time I went to visit her. It's one of my favorites and I have since made a copy of it for my own recipie book

Recipe Ingredients for Baked Spaghetti

1 pound ground beef
1 cup chopped onion
3 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon oregano
3 cans Tomato soup
2 1/2 cups water
12 ounces tomato paste
2 tablespoons sugar
16 ounces spaghetti
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Recipe Directions for Baked Spaghetti

  1. In large heavy pan, brown meat and cook with onion, garlic and basil oregano until tender. Add other ingredients except cheese and spaghetti. Simmer 20 minutes (stir to keep from sticking to bottom of pan).

  2. In 9X13X2 casserole dish, combine cooked spaghetti and sauce. Top with grated cheese. Bake 20 minutes or until bubbly. Added cheese may be served at table.
